Ingredients

✅ 1 tbsp white vinegar (adds tenderness)

Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven & Prepare Pans:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, incorporating air.
Add vegetable oil and beat until well combined.
3️⃣ Add Wet Ingredients:
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract and white vinegar.
4️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, black cocoa powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
5️⃣ Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:
Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Mix until just combined.
6️⃣ Add Black Food Coloring:
Add black food coloring a few drops at a time until the desired shade is reached.
7️⃣ Bake the Cakes:
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
