A butter sponge cake is a delightful baked dessert made from simple ingredients like butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and baking powder. The cake gets its name from the use of butter, which lends a rich flavor and tender texture to the sponge.

Ingredients:

3 cups wheat flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup milk
5 eggs
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon whiskey
