Air Fryer Pizza

Air fryer pizza is a healthier alternative to traditional fried pizza as it requires less oil and has less fat.  It cooks evenly and quickly, resulting in a crispy dough and well-cooked toppings.  It’s a delicious and convenient option for pizza lovers.

Ingredients

For the mass:

• 1 cup of wheat flour

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1/2 cup warm water

• 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the pizza sauce:

• 1 cup tomato sauce

• 1 teaspoon oregano

• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

• Salt and pepper to taste

For additional ingredients (cheese, pepperoni, vegetables, etc.):

• 1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese

• Ingredients of your choice

Before making pizza in an air fryer, preheat the air fryer to the temperature recommended in the recipe for optimal results.

Preparation

Preparation of the dough:

1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
2. Add the warm water and olive oil to the mixture and stir until the dough forms a ball.
3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
4. Divide the dough into two equal pieces and roll each one out into a circle of the desired size for your air fryer.

Preparation of the sauce:

1. In a small bowl, mix the tomato sauce with the oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.  Adjust the seasonings according to your personal preferences.

Pizza assembly:

1. Place one of the dough bases in the previously greased air fryer basket.
2. Spread an even layer of the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small uncovered edge to form the edge of the pizza.
3. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite additional ingredients, such as pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.

Cook pizza in the air fryer:

1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
2. Place the basket with the pizza in the air fryer and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
3. Repeat the process with the second pizza if necessary.

Serve:

1. Remove the cooked pizza from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into slices.
2. Serve hot and enjoy!
