INGREDIENTS (For 25 cookies)
125g soft butter
90g brown sugar
60g white sugar
1 egg (size M)
150 g oat flakes
60 g wheat flour (Type 405)
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ tsp salt
100 g dark chocolate drops
PREPARATION
1st step
Put the softened butter with the brown and white sugar in a bowl and mix with the whisk of a hand mixer until the sugar is well combined with the butter. Add the egg and stir in.
2nd step
Mix and add the oat flakes, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix everything with a spatula to form a thick dough.
Add the chocolate chips and fold in. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
3rd step
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees fan (180 degrees top/bottom heat). Line two trays with baking paper.
Scoop out even portions of the cooled dough with a teaspoon and quickly roll them into balls with your hands.
4th step
Place them on the tray at a distance (the oatmeal chocolate cookies will melt) and bake in the preheated oven for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
If you only bake on one tray, keep the raw dough in the fridge until the second batch.
The dough makes approx. 25 chocolate oat cookies. You can store the oatmeal cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for at least 4 days.
