Meatballs with Vegetables
Materials
Vegetable garnish;
2 medium sized potatoes
1 capia pepper
1 carrot
1 cup boiled peas
For meatballs;
300 grams of minced meat
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
To fry;
1 teacup of oil
For the sauce;
1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste
2 glasses of water
1 teaspoon of thyme
Preparation of
First, the marble meatballs are prepared.
Chop the garlic and onion finely and add them to the minced meat.
Other meatball ingredients are added, kneaded well and shaped into walnut-sized pieces.
Carrots and potatoes are peeled.
Potatoes are cut into small cubes.
Carrots are sliced into rounds and thinly.
Capia peppers are chopped into small squares.
Potatoes, carrots, capia peppers and meatballs are fried in hot oil, one by one.
We don’t fry them too much, just let them change color because they will be cooked in the oven.
We put the fried carrots, potatoes and capia peppers on the baking tray.
We add a glass of boiled peas and mix the garnish.
We also add the fried meatballs.
After turning a tablespoon or so of thyme and tomato paste, we add two glasses of hot water and boil our sauce.
We pour the boiling sauce onto the baking tray.
You put it on wet baking paper or in a baking tray, cover it with a baking tray and bake it in the oven at 180° for about 40 minutes.
We cook it covered for the first 20 minutes and uncovered for the last 20 minutes, allowing the meatballs to brown.
Bon appetit to those who try it.
