The chocolate rolls are juicy, delicious and vegan even without eggs. The yeast dough with yogurt and chocolate drops is just perfect. They taste best when homemade.
INGREDIENTS (For 10 pieces)
FOR THE DOUGH
200 ml plant milk (e.g. oat drink)
500 g wheat flour (type 550; alternative: spelt flour type 630)
80 g sugar
1 tsp salt
A little ground vanilla if desired
80 g soft vegan butter
60 g vegan yogurt
½ cube of fresh yeast (21 g; alternative: 1 pack of dry yeast)
ALSO
100 g dark chocolate drops
2 – 3 soy cream (for cooking)

PREPARATION
Step 1
For the dough, put the plant drink in a pot and heat slightly (hand-warm). In the meantime, mix the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add a little ground vanilla if desired.
2nd step
Pour in soft vegan butter in flakes, vegan yogurt and lukewarm plant drink, do not mix. Crumble fresh yeast into small pieces and add to the warm liquid in the bowl. Leave to rest for about 5 minutes until the yeast has dissolved in the drink.
3rd step
If you can no longer see any yeast in pieces, first mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon, then knead with your hands or put them in a food processor. Knead the dough until smooth for about 10 minutes.
4th step
Put the dough in a clean bowl and cover with a damp kitchen towel. Leave to rise in a warm, draft-free place for at least 1 hour until the volume has roughly doubled.
