Tiramisu with cherries – the fruity version is awesome

A wonderful cream, layered with crunchy ladyfingers – everyone loves tiramisu! Now the classic Italian dessert is also available with juicy cherries. We’ll show you how easy it is to prepare.

INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings)

200 g ladyfingers
1 cup cold espresso (3 tsp instant coffee/ 6 tbsp water)
3 tbsp amaretto
250 g mascarpone
200 g quark (20% fat)
200 g cream
1 pack of cream stiffener
70 g sugar
1 jar of cherries, drained
a little cocoa powder

PREPARATION

Step 1
Line the bottom of a baking dish (15 x 30 cm) completely with the ladyfingers.  Mix the cold espresso with the amaretto and drizzle over the ladyfingers. Put the cherries in a sieve and let them drain. Spread half of the drained cherries over the ladyfingers.

Step 2
Whip the cream with the cream stiffener and chill. Mix the mascarpone with the quark until smooth, stir in the sugar. Fold the whipped cream into the quark mixture.

Step 3
Spread a third of the quark cream over the ladyfingers covered with cherries and cover with ladyfingers again until the entire dish is covered. Drizzle the second layer of ladyfingers with espresso again. Put a few cherries aside for decoration. Spread the remaining cherries over the ladyfingers.

Step 4
A little cocoa powder
Spread the remaining quark mixture on top and decorate with cocoa powder and cherries. It is best to serve the tiramisu cold; to do this, chill the tiramisu for at least 3 hours.
