Corn Cake in Blender
Corn pie is a delicious traditional dish made with corn flour, eggs and other ingredients. Its texture can vary from soft and creamy to firm and slightly crunchy, depending on the recipe. It is popular in many cultures and is enjoyed as both a savory and sweet side dish.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup of sweet corn (can be frozen, canned or fresh)
• 1 cup of milk
• 1/2 cup of sugar
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 1/2 cup of corn flour (precooked corn flour, masa flour type)
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 pinch of salt
Before making the corn cake, make sure you have all the ingredients and a suitable pan ready.
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan or baking dish with a little butter or cooking spray.
2. In the blender, add the sweet corn, milk, eggs, sugar and melted butter. Blend everything at high speed until you obtain a smooth mixture.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the corn flour, baking powder and pinch of salt.
4. Add the dry ingredient mixture to the blender and blend again briefly until all ingredients are well combined. Don’t over-blend, just enough to blend.
5. Pour the mixture into the greased mold or refractory and level the surface with a spatula.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-45 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Once cooked, remove the corn cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into portions.
8. You can serve hot corn cake as an accompaniment to meat or poultry, or even as a dessert. You can also enjoy it at room temperature.
