Preparation of the marble cake

The preparation of this cake is very simple.  Even so, like all desserts, it is necessary to follow certain steps to the letter, since they are what will allow you to achieve the desired texture, sponginess and softness.

• Preheat the oven to 180°C.

• Then you are going to sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.

• In another bowl you are going to melt the chocolate together with the butter, in a double boiler.

• Separate the whites from the yolks.

• After having all the egg whites ready, you are going to add a little sugar and beat until you reach stiff peaks.  Once they are ready, set them aside until it is time to add them to the mixture.

• Next, beat the rest of the sugar with the yolks and then the vanilla.

• Add the milk and the previously sifted flour, alternating each one.

• Separate the mixture into halves of equal weight and add the chocolate to one of these.

• Once you have the two mixtures ready, add the stiff egg whites to each of these (also in halves).  With the help of a spatula, integrate with enveloping movements.

• Take the mixtures to the mold, alternating each one, that is, a layer of vanilla and a layer of chocolate.  When you have added all the mixture, make drawings with the help of a tall stick.

• Put the mold in the oven for 40 minutes.

• Once the cake is ready, unmold it and let it cool.  Ready!  The time has come to serve.
