Layered salad
Our classic layered salad is simply the best – and an absolute party hit! You will love the creamy sauce with cream and Miracle Whip!
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE SALAD
3 eggs
1 can of corn (1 can of 400 g)
1 can of pineapple pieces (1 can of 150 g)
1 leek
2 medium-sized apples
150 g celeriac
150 g cooked ham
FOR THE SAUCE
250 g Miracle Whip
100 ml whipped cream
¼ tsp salt
1 large pinch of black pepper
ALSO
100 g grated cheese
PREPARATION
1. For the layered salad, boil the eggs for about 8 minutes, rinse and allow to cool. Peel the eggs and roughly dice them. Put the corn in a sieve, rinse with cold water and drain. Drain the pineapple and drain.
2. Cut the leek lengthways and wash, drain and then cut into rings. Peel the apples and celery. Core the apples and grate the apple pulp and celery into sticks using a grater or slicer. Cut the cooked ham into thin strips.
3. For the sauce, mix the Miracel Whip with cream, salt and pepper. Layer the ingredients (eggs, corn, pineapple pieces, leek, apples, celery, ham) one after the other in a large glass bowl (approx. 25 cm diameter), add 2-3 layers of sauce in between and finish with the grated cheese. Leave the salad in the fridge for at least 4 hours before serving. Enjoy!
