Pasta with shrimp
With the pasta with shrimp you can treat yourself to a super tasty and at the same time simple meal! Everyone at the table will love the pasta with shrimp, tomatoes and garlic.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE SAUCE
1 medium onion
1 – 2 garlic cloves
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 can chopped tomatoes (400 g each)
½ tsp salt
Freshly ground pepper
1 – 2 tsp dried Italian herb mix
100 g cream
FOR THE SHRIMPS
7 large black tiger shrimps
2 tbsp olive oil
1 pinch of salt
Freshly ground pepper
ALSO
200 g spaghetti (or other pasta)
1 tsp salt for the cooking water
3 – 4 sprigs of fresh parsley
PREPARATION
1. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. If necessary, peel the shrimps, remove the intestines and halve lengthways. Rinse carefully under cold water and pat dry with a kitchen paper towel.
2. For the shrimps, heat a large pan with the olive oil, season the shrimps with salt and pepper and fry for a total of 2 minutes at high heat, turning occasionally. Remove the shrimps from the pan and put them in a bowl.
3. For the tomato sauce, add the olive oil to the same pan and sauté the onion and garlic for about 2 minutes at medium heat. Add the tomato paste and fry for about 1 minute.
4. Add the tomatoes, mix with salt, pepper and the dried herbs and simmer for about 10 minutes at low heat. Add the cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.
5. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until “al dente” according to the instructions on the packet and drain. Add the pasta to the sauce in the pan with the shrimps and stir several times. Pluck the parsley from the stalks, chop and add. Enjoy!
