Brownie Bottom Cheesecake

Dulce De Leche Brownie Bottom Cheesecake

Ingredients

For the brownie base:

• 1 cup melted butter
• 2 cups of sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup of flour
• 2/3 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

For the cheesecake:

• 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup of sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the dulce de leche topping:

• 1 can (14 oz) dulce de leche

Instructions

1. Prepare the brownie base:
• Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).  Grease a springform pan.
• Mix melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.  Add the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.  Pour the mixture into the prepared mold.

2. Bake the brownie base:
• Bake for 25 minutes.  Let it cool.

3. Prepare the cheesecake:
• Reduce oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).
• Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.  Add the eggs one by one, then the vanilla.  Pour the mixture over the cooled brownie base.

4. Bake the cheesecake:
• Bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is firm.  Let cool completely.

5. Add the topping:
• Spread the dulce de leche over the cooled cheesecake.  Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
