Pizza baguette

Pizza baguette

You can make this brilliant recipe for pizza baguette in the oven yourself in a flash: The baguettes are spread with tomato sauce and then sprinkled thickly with mozzarella, then your favorite ingredients are added on top.

INGREDIENTS

½ can of strained tomatoes (approx. 200 ml)
2 tablespoons tomato paste (2x concentrated)
½ teaspoon dried Italian herbs
Salt
Freshly ground pepper
½ red bell pepper
1 red onion
150 g fine salami or mini salami
2 slices of cooked ham
4 baguette rolls for baking
200 g grated mozzarella (40% fat in dry matter)
Oregano or basil to sprinkle on top as desired

PREPARATION

1. Mix the strained tomatoes with tomato paste and herbs and season with salt and pepper. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat (fan oven: 180 degrees) and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. Wash the peppers, drain, remove the core and dice the peppers. Peel the onion, quarter it and cut into strips. Cut the salami into slices and the ham into small pieces.

3. Cut the rolls in half, spread the tomato sauce evenly on them, place on the baking tray and sprinkle with mozzarella. Top with peppers, onions, salami and ham as desired and bake in the middle of the preheated oven for about 12 minutes until golden brown.

4. Take the pizza baguettes out of the oven and serve sprinkled with basil or oregano as desired. Enjoy!
