CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH BANANA

Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup oil (you can use melted butter if you prefer)
1 cup of wheat flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a bread or cake mold.

2. Peel the ripe bananas and put them in a bowl. Mash them with a fork until they have a mash consistency.

3. In a large bowl, beat eggs with sugar until you get a homogeneous mixture. Add the mashed bananas and the oil (or melted butter) and mix well.

4. In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add this mixture to the liquid ingredients and stir until all well combined.

5. Add the chocolate chips (if you’re using them) and mix slightly.

6. Place the dough in the previously greased mold and distribute it evenly.

7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a chopstick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cooking time may vary according to mold size, so check regularly.

8. Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool in the mold for about 10 minutes before popping it apart and letting it cool completely on a griddle.
