Chocoflan Recipe
Ingredients
For the flan:
5 eggs
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of evaporated milk
15 ml of vanilla essence
15 g of cornstarch
For the caramel:
100 g of granulated sugar
100 ml of water
For the chocolate cake:
5 egg whites
5 egg yolks
100 g of wheat flour
100 g of semi-sweet chocolate
100 g of melted butter
160 g of granulated sugar

Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the caramel:
In a pan, Add the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar melts and turns golden. Pour the caramel into the bottom of a flan mold and spread it out well. Let it cool.
2️⃣ Prepare the flan:
In a blender, add the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla and cornstarch. Blend until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture. Pour the flan mixture over the caramel in the mold.
3️⃣ Prepare the chocolate cake:
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and butter in the microwave or in a bain-marie. Set aside.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside. In another bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar until they are creamy and pale in color. Add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
Fold in the sifted flour and finally fold in the egg whites in folding motions to keep the batter fluffy.
4️⃣ Assembly and baking:
Pour the chocolate cake mix over the flan mixture in the mould (the cake mix will float on top of the flan). Place the mould on a baking tray in a bain-marie (with hot water) and bake at 180°C for approximately 1 hour, or until the flan is firm and the cake is cooked.
5️⃣ Cooling and unmolding:
Allow the chocoflan to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Carefully unmold and enjoy your delicious chocoflan!
