Köttbullar – with our recipe you can easily make the delicious Swedish meatballs yourself. Thanks to the fine sauce, it tastes like the original – and guaranteed better than in the furniture store.

INGREDIENTS

1 medium-sized onion
1 small bunch of parsley
300 g ground beef
30 g breadcrumbs or breadcrumbs
½ tsp ground pepper
1 tsp paprika powder (sweet)
1 pinch of ground nutmeg
2 eggs
3 medium-sized shallots
1 clove of garlic
1 tbsp butter
200 ml broth (e.g. vegetable broth, beef broth, chicken broth)
200 ml cream
¼ tsp salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 pinch of ground nutmeg

PREPARATION

1. Finely dice the onion and chop the parsley.  Mix the minced meat with the breadcrumbs, onion, half of the parsley, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

2. Whisk the eggs, stir into the mixture and leave to rest for 10 minutes.

3. Moisten your hands with water, form small meatballs and place on a plate. Heat oil in a pan, fry the meatballs on all sides for approx. 2 minutes until golden brown, then set aside.

4. Finely chop the shallots and garlic. Fry in a little oil and butter until they are translucent.

5. Deglaze with stock and reduce by half. Add cream, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

6. Add the meatballs to the sauce and cook for approx. 5 minutes at a medium heat. Sprinkle with the remaining parsley and serve with cranberries. Enjoy!
