BUTTER COOKIES WITH JAM

BUTTER COOKIES WITH JAM

Ingredients:

250 grams of butter (at room temperature)
100 grams of glazing sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 egg
300 grams of wheat flour
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Jam of your preference (in the picture apricot jam is used)

Preparation:

1. In a large bowl, beat the butter with the icing sugar until you get a creamy mixture.

2. Add the egg and vanilla essence, and keep beating until everything is well combined.

3. In a separate container, mix flour, salt and baking powder.

4. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the butter mixture, mixing well until it forms a smooth dough.

5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.

6. With a pastry sleeve, it forms small circles on the tray. You can make them spiral or any shape you prefer.

7. Make a small gap in the center of each circle with your finger or a suitable tool to add the jam.

8. Fill in the gap in every cookie with jam. In the picture it looks like apricot jam is used, but you can use whatever you like best (raspberry, strawberry, etc.). ).

9. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.

10. Once done, take out of the oven and let cool on a griddle.

11. Ready! Now you can enjoy these delicious butter cookies with jam.
