Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake

Ingredients:

For the chocolate cake:

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of cocoa powder without sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups of granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
For the peanut butter cheesecake:

16oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup creamy peanut butter
For the peanut butter frosting:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups of powdered sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round pots.

2️⃣ Make the chocolate cake: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4️⃣ Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in Vanilla Extract.

5️⃣ Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the butter, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until it just combined.

6️⃣ Divide the dough evenly between the two prepared pans.

7️⃣ Make the Peanut Butter Cheesecake: In another large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.

8️⃣ Add sugar and beat until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and peanut butter until well combined.

9️⃣ Layer Cake: Spoon the peanut butter cheesecake mix evenly over the chocolate cake batter in each pan.

1️⃣5️⃣ Carefully place the second cake layer on top, the cheesecake down. Icing the top and sides of the cake with the remaining peanut butter frosting.
