Ant cake classic
The ant cake is a real classic.The lots of chocolate sprinkles and eggnog ensure that the loaf cake is incredibly moist and airy. Everyone loves this cake.
INGREDIENTS
125g butter
160g sugar
1 pack vanilla sugar
2 eggs
200g flour
2 teaspoons of baking soda
100 g chocolate sprinkles
125 g eggnog
200 g whole milk couverture
some butter for the mold
PREPARATION
1st step
Mix butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually stir in eggs.
2nd step
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven: 160 degrees). Mix flour with baking powder and add to the butter-sugar mixture with the eggnog. Mix the dough well. Add chocolate sprinkles and stir briefly.
3rd step
Grease a loaf tin (25x11cm) and pour the dough into it. Smooth it out and bake the cake in the preheated oven for approx. 65 minutes. Allow to cool completely, then turn out of the mold. Roughly chop the whole milk couverture and melt it in a water bath. Pour the couverture over the cake and let it set.
