Marble cake in a loaf pan
Marble cake in a loaf pan
Marble cake in a loaf pan is super moist. The simple cake made from two doughs is quick to make and is so fluffy. The recipe tastes like grandma’s.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE VANILLA DOUGH
200 g soft butter
180 g sugar
1 pinch of salt
4 eggs (size M)
280 g wheat flour (type 405)
2 tsp baking powder
70 ml milk
FOR THE COCOA DOUGH
3 tbsp baking cocoa (approx. 20 g)
1 packet of vanilla sugar
2 tbsp milk
ALSO
1 tbsp flour for the mold
1 tbsp icing sugar for dusting
Some butter for the mold
PREPARATION
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven: 160 degrees). Grease a loaf pan (25 cm). Add flour and spread it by swirling the loaf pan. Knock the remaining flour out of the mold.
2nd step
For the vanilla dough, beat the butter, sugar and salt with the whisk of a hand mixer on the highest setting for 2 minutes until fluffy and white. Add the eggs one at a time and continue beating on the highest setting. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir into the dough alternately with the milk.
3rd step
For the cocoa dough, pour a third of the dough into a bowl. Mix the cocoa, vanilla sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
4th step
Add the cocoa mixture to the dough and stir until smooth. Pour half of the light dough into the mold, tablespoon by tablespoon. Add half of the cocoa dough on top and smooth it out. Add the remaining light dough on top and cover with the remaining cocoa dough.
5th step
Marble the dough a few times from bottom to top through all layers using a fork. Smooth the surface again.
