💟 Ingredients:
For the cake:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
1/4 cup powdered sugar-free cocoa
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 whole cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of boiling water
1 scoop black food coloring (optional, for a more black look)
For the cream cheese frosting:
16oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
For decoration (optional):
Chocolate or Cocoa Powdered Hotcakes
Fresh berries (Like raspberries or blackberries)
Edible gold leaf (for an extra fancy touch)
💟Preparation:
Prepare the cake:
Preheat your Hornee oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and enhance two 9-inch round cake molds, or cover with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth and combined.
Gradually add boiling water to the mass (it will become liquid, which is normal). If you use black food coloring, add and mix until completely combined.
Pour batter evenly into prepared pie molds and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a chopstick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cakes cool in the molds for 10 minutes before transferring to a grid to cool completely.

Prepare the cream cheese frosting:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing well between the additions. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Keep whipping until the icing is fluffy and smooth.
Put together the cake:
Once cakes are completely cool, cut each cake in half horizontally to create four layers (if you prefer a taller cake).
Place a layer of cake on a serving dish and sprinkle a generous amount of cream cheese frosting on top.
Continue to place layers of cake and icing until all the layers are stacked, spreading icing over the top and sides of the cake.
Smooth icing with a spatula or cake grater to achieve a clean, polished look.
Decorate The Cake:
To give it a luxurious touch, decorate the cake with chocolate chips, a pinch of cocoa powder, fresh berries or edible gold leaf.
Serves:
Let the cake cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for the icing to settle before cutting and serving.
