Homemade broaster chicken

Homemade broaster chicken

Homemade broaster chicken is a delicious culinary option that combines the crunchy batter of fried chicken with the juiciness of oven roast. It is characterized by its special seasoning and unique texture, achieved through the use of a broaster machine. It is a popular choice at gatherings and casual meals due to its flavor and versatility.

Ingredients

For the marinade:

• 1 whole chicken or chicken pieces (thighs, breasts, wings, etc.)

• 2 cups of buttermilk

• 2 tablespoons of salt

• 1 tablespoon black pepper

• 1 tablespoon garlic powder

• 1 tablespoon onion powder

• 1 teaspoon paprika

• 1 teaspoon herb seasoning (thyme, oregano, rosemary, etc.)

For the batter:

• 2 cups of wheat flour

• 1 tablespoon of salt

• 1 tablespoon black pepper

• 1 tablespoon garlic powder

• 1 tablespoon onion powder

• 1 teaspoon paprika

• 1 teaspoon herb seasoning

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

Before making broaster chicken, be sure to marinate the pieces with spices and buttermilk to enhance the flavor and maintain juiciness. Then, coat them in a seasoned flour mixture before frying for a delicious, crispy exterior.

Preparation

  1. Prepare the marinade by mixing all the ingredients in a large bowl. Dip the chicken pieces into the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the chicken to absorb the flavors.
  2. Remove the chicken pieces from the marinade and let them drain a little so they are not too wet.
  3. While the chicken drains, prepare the batter. Mix all the batter ingredients in another large bowl.
  4. Heat a large pot with enough vegetable oil for frying to 160-175°C (325-350°F).
  5. Take a drained piece of chicken and dredge it in the batter, making sure it is completely covered. Press the batter lightly so that it adheres well to the chicken.
  6. Carefully place the coated chicken pieces in the hot oil, avoiding crowding them so that they cook evenly. Fry the pieces for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chicken from the oil and place it on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
  8. Repeat the process with the other chicken pieces.
  9. Serve the homemade chicken broaster hot with your favorite sauces and sides, such as fries, salad or bread. Enjoy your delicious homemade broaster chicken! Please note that this recipe imitates the style of broaster chicken without using the original machine.
