Tangerine quark

The whole family will enjoy this curd dish with tangerines.  The fine mandarin quark with cream and yoghurt is wonderfully creamy and so fruity with fresh mandarins.  The perfect dessert! 


100g cream
½ pack vanilla sugar
250 g low-fat quark
3 tbsp natural yogurt
3 tbsp sugar
½ vanilla bean
3 fresh tangerines


1st step
Prepare 4 dessert glasses (150 ml each).  Whip the cream with vanilla sugar until stiff and refrigerate.  Mix the curd with yogurt and sugar until smooth.  Cut half a vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape it out with the back of a knife and add it to the curd cream.  Fold the cream into the quark mixture.

2nd step
Peel the tangerines, remove the skin and reserve 8 pieces for decoration.  Chop the remaining fillets finely.  Fill each dessert glass with 2 tablespoons of curd cream and fill with 2 tablespoons of mandarin oranges.  Spread some more curd cream on top and decorate with 2 mandarin orange pieces each.  Refrigerate the dessert for 2 hours, then serve.

Our tip: Instead of fresh tangerines!
Of course, you can also use canned tangerines (175 g each).  Make sure the sugar content is as low as possible or reduce the sugar in the cream so that your tangerine dessert does not become too sweet.  Insider tip: Add a little lemon juice to make the cream even fruitier!
