Jam filled cupcakes

Jam filled cupcakes

،Marmalade-filled cupcakes are a delicious combination of soft sponge cake and a juicy, sweet center.  The jam adds a fruity touch that balances perfectly with the sweetness of the cupcake.  They are an irresistible temptation for any dessert lover.

Ingredients

For the cupcakes:

• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter at room temperature

• 3/4 cup sugar

• 2 large eggs

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 1/2 cup of milk

For the filling and decoration:

• Jam of the flavor of your choice

• 1 cup of icing sugar (powdered sugar)

• 1/2 cup butter at room temperature

• 1-2 tablespoons of milk

• Food coloring (optional)

• Additional decorations (optional)

Before you start, make sure the jam is very thick so that it doesn’t run when you bake the cupcakes.  Also, do a little taste test with the dough to adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the jam.  Enjoy baking!

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a cupcake tray with paper liners.

2. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.  Booking.

3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Add vanilla.

4. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.  Mix until well combined, but do not over mix.

5. Fill each cupcake liner approximately 2/3 full with the batter.

6. Bake the cupcakes in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.

7. Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

8. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, you can make a hole in the center of each one using a small knife or apple corer.

9. Fill each hole with jam of the flavor of your choice.

10. To prepare the frosting, beat the butter until light and fluffy.  Gradually add icing sugar and milk, beating until desired consistency.  Add food coloring if desired.

11. Cover the cupcakes with the frosting using a pastry bag or spatula.

12. Decorate the cupcakes with additional elements if you wish, such as sprinkles, sprinkles, or fresh fruit.
