Cornmeal cake

Cornmeal cake is a delightful dessert that combines the hearty texture of cornmeal with the sweetness of cake. It’s often made with ingredients like cornmeal, flour, sugar, eggs, milk, and butter, resulting in a slightly dense and moist cake with a unique flavor.


2 cups of cornmeal
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of wheat flour
1 cup of oil
4 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon baking powder

Method of preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, sugar and wheat flour.

Add the oil and eggs and mix well.
Add the milk little by little, stirring constantly, until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

Lastly, add the baking powder and mix gently.

Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan and bake for about 40 minutes, or until golden and firm to the touch.
Serve warm or cold.
