Wonder Cake


For mass:
4 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
2 cups of sugar (tea)
1 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup of warm milk
2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
Margarine for greasing
Confectioners’ sugar for sprinkling
Mini dreams ready to decorate

For filling and topping:

2 cans of condensed milk
2 cups of milk (tea)
2 egg yolks, sifted
2 and ½ tablespoons cornstarch
1 box of cream (200g)

Method of preparation:

1. Using a mixer, beat the egg whites and set aside.

2. In another bowl, still using a mixer, beat the egg yolks, sugar, margarine and essence until fluffy.

3. Without stopping beating, alternate the milk and flour until smooth.

4. Add the egg whites and yeast and mix gently with a spoon.

5. Transfer to a deep, greased, 24cm diameter pan lined with greased baking paper.

6. Bake in a preheated medium oven for 35 minutes or until golden.  Let cool, unmold and remove the paper.

7. For the filling and topping, in a pan, mix the ingredients, except the cream.

8. Place over medium heat, stirring until it thickens and boils.  Add the cream and let it cool.

9. Cut the cake into 3 parts.  Place the filling in a pastry bag fitted with a large piping tip and begin assembling.

10. On a plate, place some dough and decorate with ⅓ of the filling.

11. Place the other dough and decorate with half of the remaining filling.

12. Place the last dough and decorate with the remaining filling.

13. Sprinkle with icing sugar on the sides and top of the cake, decorate with the mini dreams and serve.
