Pasta with shrimp

With the pasta with shrimp you treat yourself to a super tasty and at the same time simple meal! Everyone at the table will love the pasta with shrimp, tomatoes and garlic.



1 medium onion
1 – 2 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 can of chopped tomatoes (400 g each)
½ tsp salt
Freshly ground pepper
1 – 2 tsp dried Italian herb mix
100 g cream


7 large black tiger shrimps
2 tbsp olive oil
1 pinch of salt
Freshly ground pepper


200 g spaghetti (or other pasta)
1 tsp salt for the cooking water
3 – 4 sprigs of fresh parsley


1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely.  If necessary, peel the prawns, remove the intestines and cut them in half lengthways. Rinse carefully under cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper.

2. For the shrimps, heat a large pan with the olive oil, season the prawns with salt and pepper and fry for a total of 2 minutes at high heat, turning occasionally. Remove the prawns from the pan and set aside in a bowl.

3. For the tomato sauce, add the olive oil to the same pan and sauté the onion together with the garlic for about 2 minutes at medium heat. Add the tomato paste and fry for about 1 minute.

4. Add the tomatoes, mix with salt, pepper and the dried herbs and simmer for about 10 minutes at low heat. Add the cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.

5. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until “al dente” according to the instructions on the packet and drain. Add the pasta to the sauce in the pan together with the prawns and toss several times.  Pluck the parsley from the stems, chop it and add it. Enjoy your meal!
