Vegetarian pizza rolls
Children and adults will love this recipe for vegetarian pizza rolls! The rolls baked with tomatoes, peppers and cheese are quick and easy to prepare!
INGREDIENTS
8 rolls
1 small onion
1 tbsp olive oil
200 g chopped tomatoes
2 tsp dried Italian herbs (e.g. oregano, thyme, basil)
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 pinch of paprika powder (sweet)
½ yellow pepper
½ red pepper
200 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda, Edam, mozzarella)
PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven: 160 degrees). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut the rolls horizontally once and place them on the baking tray.
2. Peel the onion and cut into fine cubes. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the diced onion in it. Add the chopped tomatoes and simmer on a medium heat for 10 minutes. Season the sauce with herbs, salt, pepper and paprika powder and allow to cool.
3. Wash the peppers, cut into fine cubes and mix into the tomato sauce. Add the grated cheese and mix everything together.
4. Put a heaped tablespoon of the pizza mixture on each half of the roll and spread it out. Bake the pizza rolls for about 15 minutes. Enjoy!
