Nutella sticks

These crispy puff pastry sticks with Nutella are baked in no time. The snack made from just 4 ingredients is perfect for the cake table, the party buffet or as a small snack on the couch.

INGREDIENTS (For 20 servings)

1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section (approx. 270g)
150 g hazelnut nougat cream
1 egg (size M)
1 tbsp milk


1st step
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven: 180 degrees). Line the baking tray with baking paper. Roll out the puff pastry. If necessary, warm the hazelnut nougat cream slightly in the microwave so that it is easier to spread. Cut the dough into four rectangles.

2nd step
Spread the hazelnut nougat cream by the tablespoon on the dough rectangles and spread it with a cake lifter, leaving a 1 cm border free.

3rd step
Cut each rectangle horizontally into 5 strips of equal thickness. Twist the strips of dough on both sides and place them on the prepared baking sheet with some space between them.

4th step
Whisk the egg with milk and spread a thin layer of it on the sticks. Bake in the oven for approx. 12-14 minutes. Serve with a bowl of hazelnut nougat cream for dipping if desired.
