Homemade meat seasoning

Homemade meat seasoning

Homemade meat seasoning is a great way to enhance the flavor of your dishes.  You can mix fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary with olive oil and minced garlic to create a delicious dressing.  Adjust the ingredients according to your preferences and enjoy tastier meat.

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil.

• 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar.

• 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped.

• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard.

• 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for a touch of sweetness).

• 1 teaspoon of dried herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, oregano, etc.).

• Salt and pepper to taste.

When making homemade meat rub, be sure to balance the flavors and textures to enhance the flavor of the meat and complement it appropriately.

Preparation:

1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and balsamic or red wine vinegar.

2. Add the finely chopped garlic cloves and the teaspoon of Dijon mustard.  Mix these ingredients well so that they are integrated.

3. If you want a touch of sweetness, you can add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup and mix until it dissolves into the mixture.

4. Next, add the dried herbs of your choice.  You can use a single herb or a mixture of several.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Taste the dressing and adjust the flavors according to your preference.  You can add more vinegar if you prefer a more sour flavor, or more honey for a touch of extra sweetness.

6. Once you’ve adjusted the flavors to your liking, you can use the dressing to marinate meat before cooking or as a dipping sauce after cooking.

7. If you are marinating the meat, place the meat in an airtight bag or container and pour the dressing over it.  Let the meat sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or even overnight for best results.

This homemade dressing is ideal for grilled, roasted, baked meats or even for marinating chicken or pork.  I hope you enjoy your meat with this delicious dressing!
