Hamburger Schnitzel
Hamburger Schnitzel
Our popular recipe for Hamburger Schnitzel is a real classic: tender pork schnitzel, crispy fried and with a fried egg on top! So delicious!
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE SCHNITZELS
300 g pork loin
2 eggs
30g flour
150 g breadcrumbs
¼ tsp salt
pepper from the grinder
200 ml sunflower oil
60g butter
ASIDE FROM THAT
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp sunflower oil
2 eggs
Salt
pepper
1 lemon
PREPARATION
1. Portion the schnitzels into 2-3 equally sized pieces and place each one individually in a freezer bag. Flatten evenly on both sides with a meat mallet.
2. Whisk the eggs with a fork. Place the flour on a plate. Put the breadcrumbs in a deep plate as well. Place the flour, egg and breadcrumbs next to each other in the same order.
3. Salt and pepper the schnitzels on both sides and coat them in flour. Shake off the excess flour. Dip in the egg, drain a little and coat in the breadcrumbs.
4. Press the breadcrumbs well and shake the schnitzel a little so that the excess crumbs fall off. Heat a pan with sunflower oil and fry the schnitzels for about 2 minutes per side until golden.
5. Place a piece of kitchen roll on a plate. Remove the schnitzels from the pan and place them on the kitchen paper. Add the butter to the pan and foam it up. Put the schnitzels back in the pan for 1 minute per side. Remove and dab with kitchen paper.
6. Melt the butter with the sunflower oil in a pan. Carefully crack the two eggs directly into the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for about 4-5 minutes. The egg yolk can still be liquid. Remove pan from heat.
7. Arrange the schnitzels on plates and top with the fried eggs. Slice a lemon and serve with it. Enjoy your meal!
