Turkey strips with vegetables

Simple turkey strips with vegetables and cream sauce – everyone at the table loves it! Add pasta or rice and the dish is a hit.

INGREDIENTS

300 g turkey breast
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
½ zucchini
1 red pepper
1 carrot
Salt and pepper
20 g flour
4 tbsp sunflower oil
150 ml vegetable or chicken stock
250 ml cream
1 pinch of paprika powder

PREPARATION

1. For the strips, cut the turkey breast into slices approx. 0.5 cm thick. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Wash, clean and dice the zucchini.

Wash the peppers, quarter them, remove the core and the stalk and roughly dice the peppers. Peel the carrot and cut into diagonal slices.

2. Season the turkey meat with salt and pepper and dust with flour. Heat a pan with the oil and fry the meat for about 2 minutes over high to medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove and set aside.

3. Add a little more oil to the pan, add the chopped vegetables (zucchini, pepper and carrot) to the pan and fry for about 3 minutes over high to medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove the vegetables and set aside.

4. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pan and sauté for about 2 minutes over medium heat until golden brown.

Deglaze with the stock and allow to reduce briefly. Add salt, pepper and paprika powder, add the vegetables and meat and pour in the cream.

Reduce again until the sauce has a creamy consistency, then season with salt and pepper and paprika powder. Pasta or rice goes well with this. Enjoy!
