Ice Cream

American buttercream

American buttercream

American buttercream is so easy and quick.  You only need 4 ingredients and 10 minutes to make the classic cake cream. And the best thing: the recipe is suitable for fondant.

INGREDIENTS

150 g soft butter
125 g powdered sugar
1 pinch of salt
2 tbsp milk

PREPARATION

1st step
Beat the soft butter until creamy. Sift the powdered sugar and mix it into the butter a tablespoon at a time. Mix in the salt.

2nd step
Finally, mix in the milk, this will dissolve the powdered sugar a little better and the cream will be smoother.

The frosting with cream cheese is enough for 12 cupcakes and will keep in the fridge for at least 1 week.

Our tip
Frosting dries out
The frosting dries out quite quickly on the outside due to the high sugar content.
