1. Grate half an orange and squeeze the juice out of which you are going to use. You can adjust the amount of juice to your preference, remember more juice means more flavor. Yes, we recommend not to exceed two oranges to avoid too much liquid dough.
2. In a blender, add the orange juice, zest, sugar, eggs and melted butter. Close the blender and beat until you get an even mixture. Preheat the oven to 180ยฐC.
3. Once the ingredients are integrated, add half of the flour and the baking powders. Keep beating until you achieve a uniform blend. At this stage, speed up to ensure the flour is absorbed properly.
4. Add the rest of the flour and keep beating until you get a smooth, lumps-free dough. If you wish, you can test the batter to adjust the flavor with more orange juice.
5. Grease a mold and pour batter into it. Then bake the orange cake for about 50 minutes, or until ready. To check your cooking, insert a chopstick in the center; if it comes out clean, itโs ready!
6. Ready! Let the orange cake cool on a grate before you take it apart. Once cold, decorate to your liking. You can dip it in chocolate, dulce de leche or whatever you prefer.
